STAR Co-op of Pittsburgh is a secular, inclusive homeschool co-op. We believe in science, equality, kindness, and the power of community. We offer parent-led academic and enrichment classes, social opportunities, and support for homeschool parents. We are able to offer classes at low rates because we believe that community is built when everyone pitches in.
This spring, classes run on Thursdays starting at 10:00 and meet indoors in North Park. Lunch and recess follow at 12pm. Our first meeting is March 14.
Students in grades k-5 will attend two 45 minute classes with a 30 minute break in between. The focus of those classes will be STEM.
Students in grades 6-12 will attend a two hour mult-discipline class focused on modern American history. More information about this class is available here.
Special Events will include Pi(e) Day, Egg Day, Field Day, and field trips.
